Archives and registry
The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies has a local archive and registry.
The archivist at the department is Rickard Plog. The registry is managed by the Head of Administration, Anneli Hilmersson.
Registration of public records
Stockholm University is required to archive and register all public records, regardless of medium, which means that the departments must also archive and register their own incoming and outgoing records.
The central archives and registry function leads and supports archives and registry activities throughout the entire university organisation and provides information and training. General information about archiving and registration at Stockholm University is available on the staff website: Archiving and registration
Registration at the department
When you need a registration number (for example for an application for external research funding), send an email to the Head of Administration, Anneli Hilmersson (anneli.hilmersson@su.se), with the document attached in digital form. The matter will then be registered and assigned a registration number. Please note that all records relating to the matter must be emailed for registration (for example enquiries and replies) so that the case is complete and can be closed once it is finished.
Records retention schedule
The records retention schedule describes how the department’s records/information must be handled, regardless of format. For example, it specifies whether a record must be archived and preserved or whether it may be disposed of, and after what retention period. The records retention schedule applies to all employees at Stockholm University.
