Extended insurance cover
If your department or office requires extended or customised insurance cover in addition to the standard insurance policies, the Property Management Office can put you in touch with the appropriate officer at the Kammarkollegiet. The officer can investigate and design appropriate insurance cover in each individual case. This may be relevant, for example, if you need to insure valuable equipment when travelling abroad.
Excess
The excess for each new individual claim is five price base amounts.
Foreign travel
Stockholm University employees are insured during official trips abroad. Please contact the Human Resources Office to obtain the insurance certificate. The certificate must be carried during the trip.
Property stored in a freezer
Property stored in a freezer or other low-temperature facility is only covered if the space is secured in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.5.1.2 of Kammarkollegiet's insurance terms for operational insurance.
To qualify as properly secured, the freezer or low-temperature space must be equipped with a functioning temperature alarm connected to a recipient responsible for mitigating any potential damage.
If the alarm recipient is unable to limit the damage, alternative damage-limiting procedures must be established. There should be a written agreement with the alarm recipient regarding the actions to be taken and a documented procedure for the interventions.
The entire alarm chain must be tested, and the results recorded at least once per calendar year.
