Digital course in stress management

Do you have signs such as sleep problems, palpitations or that you have become easily irritated? It is important to do something about these signs before it goes too far. Then learn to face a hectic work life and equip yourself with tools to regulate stress and regain a favorable recovery.

During the autumn, employees (not managers) who want help managing their own stress in everyday life will be offered a digital course in stress management. Three courses are planned to be implemented. The courses will be led by Jenny Killgren and Filippa Lundberg from the occupational health service Avonova. Both are psychologists with extensive experience in working with stress in various types of businesses.

Target group

Two courses will be aimed at academics, one in Swedish and one in English, and one course will be aimed at technical and administrative staff. There will be 20 places for each course.

Course content

The course is based on achieving behavioral change through cognitive behavioral therapy, CBT. Although the course is based on CBT, it should not be seen as individual or group therapy, but rather a course in becoming aware of your own behaviors and emotions. In the course, you will work with several themes linked to stress: short and long-term stress, sleep and recovery, anxiety and thoughts, strengthening your self-confidence and managing conflicts.

You will learn to observe your own behavior and receive help for a possible change. The content consists of lecture-like short films, texts and relaxation exercises. You also have the opportunity to ask the course leader questions individually via chat between sessions.

If necessary, the course can be supplemented with individual counseling on stress management.

Participation in the course must be in agreement with your manager.

How does it work?

The courses are based on a digital app with information and exercises that you work on on your own between seven digital group meetings. Each digital group meeting is one hour long and should be able to be carried out during working hours. The meetings consist of both short lectures and the opportunity for discussion and questions based on the content in the app.

You have access to the content in the app for five years.

Fee

The course is free of charge and registration is binding for the participants. The elements included are mandatory.
