Records retention schedule

The records retention schedule (informationshanteringsplan) describes how the organisation's records, documents and information (handlingar) should be managed, regardless of format.

Records and public records

Stockholm University is a public authority and as such hold public records, sometimes referred to as public documents. The University must follow legal requirements to manage, store and care for our public records, so that they can be accessed and read throughout the period during which they are held.

Registry of public records

The registry of public records (diarium) contains records drawn up (upprättade), received or sent, and a record of actions taken. By registering records within a casefile (ärende) in the registry of public records, they can be easily retrieved when needed, both internally and for disclosure to the public.

Archiving of research information

Research information forms an important part of Stockholm university’s ongoing work and its history. By archiving research information including data, results and other records we can preserve it and make it available to current and future generations.
