Film yourself

Thinking of making your own film? Here are tips and information on what you need to consider. There are naturally many different ways to make a film, but all require planning. Start by defining what you want the viewer to take away from the film.

With the video service video.su.se, you can easily record instructional videos by recording the screen, camera, and microphone on your computer. Experiment and, when you are satisfied, save your recording.

For film and moving image production, there is a toolbox of templates that reinforce SU’s visual identity.

Contact visuellidentitet@su.se for access to the Adobe Library.
Contact medieproduktion@su.se for support with templates in Clipsk when filming with a mobile phone.

When using a photo, moving image, or illustration, always check the usage rights. The images in the Media Bank are purchased from various photographers for different purposes and channels. The copyright information explains the usage rights.

For publishing photographed artworks on the university campus, apply for rights via Bildupphovsrätt (BUS). Forms and price lists are available on the BUS website.

Name the creator

Always credit the photographer/illustrator when an image is displayed, including images from the Media Bank. On the web, place the photographer's or illustrator's name in the caption (never in the alt-text). In moving images, include the information in the end credits.

Copyright for employees at Stockholm University
