The Property Management Office co-ordinates issues and services relating to the University's premises, such as cleaning, fire, locks and alarms, recycling and re-use, and liaises with property owners.

In order to report problems with premises, or to provide information or requests for changes in the need for premises, the university's departments or divisions notify the Property Department via the service portal: su.se/serviceportalen

Services in Albano

Services are coordinated and divided into three levels: basic, additional and project. The Property Management Office is responsible for contracts, function and quality assurance.

A basic and compulsory level of services delivered to the University's activities in Albano, in order to achieve good quality and service that contributes to the long-term and sustainable management of the premises.

If necessary, the institution/activity can supplement with extended services/tasks (these can be services delivered at the basic level, or services beyond the basic level). These services are considered as add-ons and are charged to the organisation separately. Supplements are usually ordered via Serviceportalen and the cost is according to the quote on request.

The Property Office Management also designs and implements adaptations/reconfigurations of premises and manages major moves. This (third) level of service, Project, is always invoiced separately to the organisation.

Book exhibition spaces and book tables

It is possible to book exhibition space and tables in the Arrhenius buildings and in the buildings in Frescati Södra.

Exhibitions - who can organise exhibitions and how it should be done is regulated in a policy document. Please note that sales are not allowed.

Tables, chairs and screens can be provided and hired in conjunction with the booking.

AV technology in Albano

Are you planning a presentation in Albano and wondering about the technology in the room? Informationsteknik is a contracted subcontractor for AV equipment and support in Albano. For detailed information about the equipment in the various rooms, handling (guides) and support, visit Informationsteknik's website: support.informationsteknik.se.

For help/questions regarding AV equipment, staff are on site in Albano (weekends) weekdays 07:30–16:30 (lunch 12:00–12.45), telephone support only).

AV technology in Frescati

The lecture theatres and classrooms on the Frescati Campus are equipped with a variety of AV technology. All classrooms and lecture theatres are equipped with desktop computers.

With clean and well-maintained premises at the University, we create the conditions to prevent vandalism, reduce maintenance costs and contribute to a good environment for students, staff and visitors to the University.

Cleaning services are provided for most of the University's premises, including daily and regular cleaning, annual deep cleaning, floor and window cleaning, and regular replacement/washing of doormats in public areas.

Resting room, shower room, nursing room

There are resting rooms and shower rooms available at Södra Frescati and Albano. A nursing room is available in Studenthuset.

Recycling rooms (miljörum)

In Frescati there are special recycling rooms where you can deposit batteries, glass, paper, etc. In Albano there are recycling bins in every department.

Defective and swollen lithium-ion batteries can be a fire hazard. Request the immediate collection of the battery via the Service Portal.

Reuse

At SU, there is the opportunity to reuse office furniture and laboratory equipment.

Through the Service Portal, you can order or donate office furniture for reuse.

There is also the possibility to use the national framework agreement "Cirkulära möbelflöden". You can use the agreement

  • if you couldn’t find or dispose of furniture from internal reuse at SU
  • if your department needs a larger quantity of used furniture
  • if your department wants to refurbish furniture.

The Arrhenius Laboratory has a recycling room for used laboratory equipment such as E-pistons, round-bottom flasks, reflux coolers, clamps and holders for laboratory stands.
