Engagement and innovation

At Stockholm University we are committed to working together with people, institutions and the private sector to create positive change in society through knowledge exchange.

Engagement and innovation

Stockholm University offers services and support to connect with the world outside of the university. This can take the shape of connecting with alumni, managing donations, fostering collaborations and helping researchers promote ideas, entrepreneurship and innovations.

Engagement and innovation

The Office for Research, Engagement and Innovation Services is responsible for the university's external partnerships with non-academic organizations, authorities and companies, and can help you find the right level for your engagement.

Engagement support

Are you a researcher or teacher at Stockholm University and have research results or teaching materials that could be transformed into new products or services? Stockholm University will help you get started.

The Office for Research, Engagement and Innovation Services provides support to the university's researchers, departments and staff who administer projects when receiving a gift or donation.

You will receive tips and advice on how to proceed, what regulations and guidelines apply and we will guide you as to who does what in the donation process.

Alumni relations

The alumni relations at Stockholm University aim to promote exchange between our alumni (former students) and the university’s ongoing operations. There are two full-time staff members who work with alumni development centrally and many others who work with alumni issues at the departmental level. To support this work, there is a network for staff involved in alumni programmes. There is also an external alumni newsletter and a mentorship programme.
