As an employee at Stockholm University, you are entitled to a range of benefits, including a wellness allowance, parental pay, opportunities for professional development, reimbursement for prescribed medicines, and the possibility to work remotely. Wellness

Stockholm University offers a wellness allowance, one hour of paid wellness time per week, access to an on‑site staff gym, and free group training sessions at Frescatihallen.

Reimbursement for medicine

You may receive reimbursement for the costs of medicines that are covered by high-cost protection by law.

Parental pay

You may receive parental pay for up to 360 days, corresponding to 10% of your salary (90% for the portion of your salary that exceeds the SGI ceiling), until the child reaches the age of three.

Vacation

You are entitled to between 28 and 35 vacation days per year depending on your age, and you are eligible to have paid vacation already during your first year of employment

Distance working

SU can contribute to increased flexibility for you as an employee by offering the possibility to work from home, if this suits your tasks and function.

Career and professional development

Take the chance to grow in your role, for example through internal training or by boosting your skills with Erasmus+.

Retirement

In addition to your salary, the university makes contributions to the employee’s occupational pension. Which is one of the most beneficial pension schemes on the labour market.

Salary exchange
