Bergius Botanic Garden

The Bergius Botanic Garden is a museum for living plants, it hosts collections of plants from the whole world. You can visit the Bergian garden for a walk, or enjoy your lunch in the beautiful surroundings.

The primary objective of the Bergius Botanic Garden is to support teaching and research about plant diversity, but the garden is also a recreational spot and a source of botanical knowledge for all its visitors.

With a history stretching back to the 18th century, the garden is today owned and managed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Stockholm University.

The Bergius Botanic Garden is a resource for researchers of the university.

Visitor information

Outside areas of the garden are open all year round with free admission.

  • The Edvard Anderson Conservatory is open all year round.
  • The Victoria House is open between May 1 and September 30.

Café, Restaurant and Museum Shop

There is a small café serving in the Edvard Anderson Conservatory as well as a restaurant and café in the Old Orangery. A museum shop is located at the entrance the Edvard Anderson Conservatory.
