Recruit or hire a communications officer
If you need to recruit a communications officer, the Communications Office can assist with help regarding the advertisement text, interviews, and the design and assessment of work samples. However, the responsible manager at the department/equivalent always owns the process and makes the formal employment decision.
Sometimes a department/equivalent may feel they do not need a full-time communication position – a good solution can then be to share a position with another unit.
Occasionally, there may be an opportunity to hire a communications officer for a limited time from a subcontractor or from the central Communications Office, for example during parental leave or a major project or event.
If you have questions about recruiting or hiring a communications officer, please contact komrad@su.se.
Contact
Feel free to contact the advisory function at the Communications Office if you are unsure of whom to ask. We will guide you to our the right preson or expertise. The Communications Office has a network and close contacts with all communications officers within the university.
