Change of text matching tool
The university will switch its text-matching tool from Ouriginal to Inspera Originality. The change will take place during the autumn of 2025.
Background
Stockholm University has, through SUNET, signed a new agreement with Inspera Originality, which replaces the previous service Ouriginal (Urkund).

Reasons for the change
- The provider Turnitin has announced that Ouriginal is reaching the end of its lifecycle and will be discontinued in the summer of 2026.
The current agreement with Ouriginal via SUNET expires on 31 October 2025. In accordance with the Swedish Public Procurement Act (LOU 2016:1145), a new competitive procurement process is required.
Contract duration
The agreement with Inspera Originality is valid from 1 November 2025 and may be extended until 31 October 2037.
Implementation Timeline
Implementation will take place between 15 September and 1 November 2025.
Implementation process
A reference group consisting of representatives from the Disciplinary Board and core university operations has been appointed to support IT Services during the implementation.
