You can now try our new text-matching tool

Stockholm University will soon switch to Inspera Originality as the new textmatching tool.

The tool is now available for testing in the training instance of Inspera Assessment
All staff members can log in using their university account.

How to test Inspera Originality

Option 1 – Direct upload via “Originality Checking”

1. Go to the Originality Checking menu and select Your Uploads.
   
2. Drag and drop files.
   
3. The result will appear once the matching process is complete.
   
   

Option 2 – Standalone instance

1. Go to the Originality Checking menu and select Go to Inspera Originality.
   
2. You will now be redirected to the standalone instance.
   
3. Click + and select Upload to test with your own files.
4. Click Submit.

Option 3 – Test via template

1. Go to the Test Events menu and select Templates.
   
2. Create a test event using the template Test av textmatchning:

• The template includes an essay question and a submission question that can be edited.
• Inspera Originality is enabled – settings can be adjusted under Security.
  
• Five student test logins are included.
  

3. Adjust time and date for the exam
   
4. Click Next until you reach Activate Test and choose to activate test.
   
5. Log in as a student via https://su-edu.inspera.com with the log in information thats is shown on the exam.
   
6. Submit a text.
   7. Log back in as an administrator, close the test, and review the result under Grade.
   
   

Note: Just like with Ouriginal (Urkund), it may take some time before the text similarity matching process is complete.

Please note

• The Originality settings are preliminary and may change.
  
• Texts previously collected via Ouriginal have not been transferred. In practice, this means matching is only done against texts available on the internet and other texts uploaded in the test environment.
  
• Everything uploaded in the test environment will be automatically deleted after the test period ends, when the live version launches on November 1 – so you can test freely without risk.
• No support is provided at this stage – testing is at your own discretion!
