Engagement support for researchers
The Office for Research, Engagement and Innovation Services is responsible for the University’s central engagement agreements and can help you identify the appropriate level for your engagement activities, whether this involves working with a company, a government agency, an organisation or other external partners.
Engagement can take place at several different levels, and activities that are not covered by central agreements may instead be better suited to the faculty, department or another organisational level.
As a researcher at Stockholm University, there are strong opportunities to develop and strengthen engagement with the wider community. The University offers different forms of engagement support to facilitate contacts and collaboration with, for example, public authorities, companies, organisations and other societal stakeholders.
Engagement support can contribute at different stages of the research process, from identifying relevant external stakeholders and establishing new collaborations to developing projects, applying for funding and disseminating research results. The support may also include advice on forms of engagement, the utilisation of research results, communication, and matters relating to agreements and intellectual property rights.
By making use of engagement support, researchers can receive assistance in increasing the impact of their research and in building long-term relationships with partners outside academia. Engagement may also lead to new research questions, strengthened funding opportunities and greater societal relevance in research.
Research support and engagement functions are available at the University to provide advice and practical assistance based on researchers’ needs. Do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss ideas, potential collaborations, or ways in which your research can reach wider audiences and benefit society.
Engagement Funding
Stockholm University
Here you can find the strategic initiatives of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences area
Funding in the “Black Box” category is provided as temporary support for inviting strategically important leading researchers, for more innovative and original research and engagement initiatives, and for research and engagement initiatives that arise unexpectedly and must be carried out at short notice. Applications in this category do not need to be cross-faculty but must be of strategic value to the Humanities and Social Sciences area.
