Study documentation
The Ladok system is used by most of Sweden's universities and colleges. It is used to document students at undergraduate, advanced and doctoral level.
Ladok is used as a study documentation system by 40 universities and colleges and CSN in Sweden through a consortium, see ladok.se
Authorised users can log in, read the manual and the study administration calendar by clicking on the buttons and links below:
Register of students and their results
Ladok contains data on admission, registration, results and degrees for students at all levels. The reporting of data in Ladok is determined by national regulations, such as the Higher Education Ordinance, and local regulations.
The data is used partly in the university's performance reporting and partly for further reporting to Statistics Sweden and CSN, among others.
Each university and university college must keep a register of students and their results). The Ladok database contains data from the autumn term 1977 onwards. The Stockholm School of Education (LHS) merged with Stockholm University in 2008. LHS started using Ladok from the autumn term 1993.

A public register
The basic principle is that all student data in Ladok is public, as is corresponding data recorded in other ways. Disclosure of data must be controlled and in accordance with relevant laws and local regulations.
External requests for data are primarily referred to the relevant subject department. In the case of more complex orders, they can be referred to Ladok System Management.
Statistics and monitoring
The Ladok system forms the basis for the calculation of full-time equivalent students (FTE) and full-time equivalent performances (FTE) and thus the allocation of government funding.
There are different ways for the department to obtain statistical data from the Ladok database, either via Ladok's various output functions, or via the decision support tool IVS - Integrated Business Support, which is a tool for bringing together information from different source systems.
