Stockholm University’s Advanced Seminar in Urban and Regional Planning (SUHSIS)

An overarching aim of the Advanced Seminar in Urban and Regional Planning is to serve as an interdisciplinary forum for disciplinary research highly relevant to urban and regional planning, carried out at various departments and faculties at Stockholm University. The seminar thus plays an important role in fostering research across disciplinary boundaries, with a focus on research in urban and regional planning. The seminar is open to researchers, PhD students and other interested parties.

One reason for this is that, whilst the main field of social planning at Stockholm University offers interdisciplinary teaching, research in social planning is conducted on a disciplinary basis across different faculties and fields. As well as promoting research development, the seminar will therefore play an important role in linking the development of new knowledge in urban planning more closely to the various courses and modules within the programme.

The advanced seminar in urban planning is organised by the management group for the Urban Planning Programme at Stockholm University.
