Book premises
The departments has meeting rooms that all staff members can book for meetings. We also rent lecture rooms in the Geoscience building for teaching our bachelor, master and phd courses.
Meeting rooms in Geobuilding
How to book: The meeting rooms Brögger, Duvslaget, Lilla Orangeriet (floor 5) and Video conference room (floor 2) can be booked by all ACES staff in their Outlook Calendar. Make an entry in your own calendar and add the room under "Location" ("Plats" in Swedish).
Find the rooms: Please see the floor plan below to find the location of the meeting rooms, and the two privacy pods. The pods are intended for phone calls and zoom meetings for one person and cannot be booked in advance.

Classrooms in Geobuilding
ACES rents a number of classrooms in the Geobuilding for teaching courses. Course coordinators send their schedule via email to studadmin@aces.su.se When schedules allow, the rooms are available also for other activities such as seminars and meetings.
ACES classrooms are:
- Y10 (38 seats)
- U11 (25 seats)
- U12 (25 seats)
- Y12 and Y13 (15+15 seats, split room)
- Ahlmannsalen (61 seats)
ACES also shares two lecture halls with Physical Geography and Human Geography:
- DeGeersalen (108 seats)
- Högbomsalen (61 seats)
DeGeersalen and Högbomsalen are primarily used for teaching from the other departments, who have large classes. After a certain release date the halls can be booked also for events, such as seminars or meetings. The release date for spring semester is 15 December, and for autumn semester 1 August.
