The service allows you to sign and validate documents electronically in a quick and easy way. The e-signature is used to upload and sign PDF and XML documents, and the signed document is also validated by the service.
Signing is easy by following these steps
- upload the document to be signed to this page
- authorise to sign
- authenticate with your university account
- download the signed document

Things to know about the service
For legally valid signatures, the user account must be certified to assurance level SWAMID AL2.

Please note that you cannot sign/validate documents using the Internet Explorer browser.
About the service
Edusign is Sunet's edusign service. It follows the DIGG framework for digital signatures for government.
External persons can use the e-signature service if they have a validated eduID account. See https://eduid.se for more information.
The e-Signature service supports the PAdes standard.
