Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships
A Cooperation partnership within Erasmus gives you the opportunity to collaborate with organizations in other European countries around different ways of developing higher education. The goal is to strengthen the quality of education. Projects have a focus on innovation and quality and can, for example, include course development, new forms of study and collaboration with companies.
How Erasmus+ cooperation partnerships work
Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships should give organisations the opportunity to improve their activities and make them more relevant, to develop and the strengthen their partner network, to increase opportunities to work together at a transnational level, to promote internationalisation of the organisation and to exchange new practices and methods as well as exchanging and comparing ideas.
Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships are structural collaborations between at least three organisations from at least three EU member states or third countries that are associated with the programme. Third countries not associated with the programme may participate if it provides added value but cannot be applicants. Projects focus on innovation and quality and can, for example, include course developments, new forms of study and collaborations with companies. Within the project, there is an opportunity for cross-sector collaboration.
There are different types of partnerships in which universities and colleges can participate. The Swedish Council of Higher Education (UHR) manages the education part of the program while the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) manages the youth part. Applications for the sport part of the programme are submitted to EACEA directly.
Participating in an Erasmus+ Cooperation partnership project
A department can participate as partner or coordinator. The department, through an appointed project manager/coordinator (PK) is responsible for the project before, during and after the contract period.
A department that intends to apply as coordinator or partner must notify the International Office (IO) well in advance, of the application deadline.
If desired an international coordinator (IK) at IO can together with the PK go through the application procedure.
Routines for Erasmus+ Cooperation partnerships
It is the Head of Student Services (in accordance with "Besluts- och delegationsordning för Stockholms universitet") who signs the Declaration of Honour (DoH) or the Accession Form (AF) that must be attached to the application. It is also the Head of Student Services that signs the agreement with the European Commission or other organization in capacity of Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR) if the application is selected and granted funding.
