Manual transcription via Amberscript to be discontinued
Amberscript will be phased out as a transcription service because the contract expires on 31 October 2026 and will not be renewed. From 1 October 2026, no new orders for manual transcription may be placed through Amberscript.
Anyone requiring manual transcription services should use the National Procurement Services framework agreement for transcription services.
Phase-out plan for manual transcription
To ensure a smooth transition to new ways of working, the following applies:
- No new orders may be placed in Amberscript after 30 September 2026
- Orders submitted before 1 October 2026 may be completed under the terms of the current agreement
- The service will be fully discontinued on 31 October 2026
- For manual transcription, staff should use the National Procurement Services framework agreement for language services, Swedish transcription (framework agreement number 23.3-872-2025).
Departments/equivalent with a recurring need for transcription services are advised to plan the transition well in advance.
