Review of IT Service and Support

IT Services has initiated a review of IT service and support to clarify roles, responsibilities and expectations. The aim is to create better alignment and identify opportunities for improvement and more efficient collaboration with the organisation.

There are currently some uncertainties regarding the remit of the IT Services service and support function. A review has therefore been launched to identify any lack of clarity in the responsibilities of IT service and support in relation to the organisation and the teams within IT Services (as perceived, expected and formally agreed), as well as to identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency.

A needs analysis of stakeholders who interact with IT Services will be carried out. This will include a description of the different stakeholder groups, their respective needs, and how each group uses IT service and support.

The review is being conducted by two consultants engaged by IT Services and will include interviews with representatives from the organisation and staff within IT Services, a survey, and an external analysis describing how other universities operate, as well as examples from outside the higher education sector.

The survey will be sent next week to a randomly selected group of staff at the university. As it is being distributed in June, it will remain open throughout the summer and into August to give as many people as possible the opportunity to respond.

If you have any questions about the review, please contact Samuel Grauman or Fred Sörgård.
