Funding advice and international opportunities at this year’s Postdoc Day attracted a large audience
This year’s Postdoc Day was held on Thursday in the Södra Huset buildings, bringing together junior researchers and doctoral students for a morning focused on research funding andcareer development for early-career researchers from Stockholm University and other universities within the Stockholm trio.

The programme opened with an introduction and a short presentation from the SU Innovation Office, highlighting the support available for researchers wishing to develop ideas and build collaborations beyond academia.
This was followed by presentations from several of Sweden’s major research funding bodies. Isabel Dellacasa Lindberg spoke about funding opportunities through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), with a particular focus on international mobility and career development. Emmanouil Tsakoumis, from the Swedish Research Council provided an overview of funding opportunities and current initiatives for junior researchers.
The day continued with Fredrik Persson-Lahusen from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, who presented the foundation’s support for research in the humanities and social sciences. The morning concluded with Sofie Wallerström and Ulrika Thomsson Myrvang from Forte, who outlined funding opportunities within health, working life and welfare.
