Call for applications at the Faculty of Science: Sigrid Arrhenius Scholarship Fund

The scholarship is awarded as economic support to promising researchers at the Faculty of Science at Stockholm University. The recipient of the scholarship is expected to obtain a PhD degree and is working on a PhD thesis in one of the following subject areas* – PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHEMATICS, ASTRONOMY, GEOLOGY or METEOROLOGY.

The PhD thesis is expected to be defended during 2026 or 2027. The applicant must not have defended the thesis before the end of the application period.

A scholarship amounting to 90.000 kronor will be awarded.

The application shall be made on a separate application form. The application form is attached below. The application shall be emailed as an email attachment marked with your name.lastname.pdf to registrator@su.se and a copy to daria.zheltukhina.nyholm@su.se no later than March 10, 2026. Specify Dnr SU FV-0467-26 in the subject line of your email.

*Subject area of the PhD thesis should be viewed broadly and can differ from the research subject area in Ladok.
