Launching the university’s websites in a new content management system

The university’s more than 200 external websites are now being launched in a new web content management system, Sitevision. This marks the result of extensive work to migrate content from the previous system, Polopoly. We are continuously correcting errors and adjusting content, and we appreciate your understanding during this transition period.

What does the launch mean?

A large part of the preparations for the launch has already been completed, but some final adjustments and additions remain. As a result, parts of su.se may temporarily appear different than usual. We are continuously correcting errors and adjusting content, and we appreciate your understanding during this transition period.

About the migration

The work has included:

  • transferring approximately 85,000 pages of content on su.se
  • developing new templates and functions
  • extensive training efforts
  • quality assurance of existing material

All content except videos could be transferred automatically. In some cases, manual adjustments were required, such as image sizes and the layout of fact boxes. Because the website is large and contains many integrations, minor issues may remain for some time after the launch. These will be addressed on an ongoing basis according to priority. A planned post-launch task is to recreate around 400 profile pages (out of a total of 12,000 in both Swedish and English) that were not included in the migration.

Employee profile pages

All information for employee profile pages has been transferred. However, researchers must activate the display of their publications and projects themselves for these to become visible on their pages. Updated instructions will be available on the staff website.
