The term of office for Stockholm University’s current Vice President Clas Hättestrand, expires on 30 June. The process of finding a successor is now under way.
The process of coming up with a proposal for the position of new Vice President at Stockholm University started during the autumn of 2024. A recruitment group consisting of representatives of students, staff and the University Board was appointed to handle the ongoing work.
In the beginning of 2025, the recruitment group determined the requirement profile and after that the nomination and application period started. Numerous proposals were submitted which led to many qualified candidates. The group made a selection of candidates and conducted interviews.
The recruitment group now has decided to put forward Jane Reichel, Professor in administrative law and Dean at the Faculty of Law at Stockholm University as proposed candidate for the position of new Vice President.
