Problems for Mac users updating to 'New Outlook'
Several Mac users have reported issues when updating to the new version of Outlook. This update comes directly from Microsoft, but it is currently possible to revert to the previous version of Outlook.
Microsoft is updating the Outlook programme for Mac to 'New Outlook', which has caused problems for some users. This change comes directly from Microsoft and is not something that IT Services can influence.
Some users have experienced significant issues with the update, so if you have not yet updated to New Outlook, it is recommended that you wait before doing so.
If you have already updated and are experiencing problems, you can revert to the old version. You can do this directly in Outlook by clicking on the 'Outlook' menu and then selecting 'Legacy Outlook'.
Please note that the update only affects Outlook for Mac. Windows users and those who use other email programmes are not affected.
You can always access webmail via mail.su.se, which remains unaffected.
The update to New Outlook will become mandatory later this autumn. More information will be provided in due course.
