Training at SSIF in Frescatihallen Spring 2026
Wellness, i.e. keep-fit activities. Employees at Stockholm University have access to, free of charge, participate at SSIF's group activities in Frescatihallen. Below you will find information on how to participate and the schedule for the spring activities.
To be able to participate in the various free exercise classes for university staff organised by SSIF in Frescatihallen, you need to register via a form on the SSIF website or via the SSIF app (GoActive). You must also become/be a member of the SSIF – read about the accident insurance of SEK 100 annually further down the page.
NOTE! In addition to the membership fee, you must actively add the Training Card for SU employees 0 SEK to be registered correctly. If the training card is not added to your profile, you cannot book your place on the classes. If you need help with your registration, please contact SSIF at info@ssif.nu.

After registration, SSIF staff will check that you are on the list of employees and you will then be given login details so that you can register for the individual classes via the SSIF app. The same applies to PhD students who are not employed at the university (SSIF may request a certificate or confirmation from the department).
When you want to participate a free exercise class
Participation in all classes must be booked in advance, either via the SSIF's website or via the SSIF's app (from the App Store or Play Store). You also check in to the class via the app. The class must be cancelled no later than 3 hours before the class and is easily done via the website or app.

Activities during Spring
Spring activities (free of charge) starts Monday 12 January and goes on until Friday 14 June. No activities on red days. If there are changes in the schedule during the semester, you will be able to see them directly in the app.

Ballet Intermediate
A ballet class for those with some prior experience. The class begins with slow exercises and gradually increases in tempo and level of difficulty.
BodyCombat®
A martial arts inspired cardio workout featuring punches and kicks.
BodyJam®
A dance-based workout inspired by various dance styles such as hip hop, house and commercial dance. You follow the choreography to modern music while improving cardio fitness, coordination and joy of movement.
BodyPump®
This class makes it easy to get started with strength training. Effective exercises help you see results quickly. It is an endurance-based workout with high repetitions, training the entire body in one session.
Boxing
This is a fun and effective class that everyone can participate in beginner to more advanced. You will practice various boxing techniques that build strength, improve focus and increase cardiovascular fitness. All equipment is available in the studio. Great for building confidence and power.
Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance is a broad and innovative dance style that combines elements from classical ballet, modern dance, jazz and other styles to create a personal form of expression.
Functional Strenght
Functional training is a strength- and conditioning class that focuses on movements used in everyday life. The class starts with a 10-minute cardio sequence and then moves on to strength exercises that engage multiple muscle groups at once. It is a full-body workout for 45 min. This class improves balance, strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility and coordination. Everyone can join from beginner to more advanced and adjust the weights and intensity after your ability.
Les Mills Core™
A 30-minute class focused on strengthening the core muscles. Using resistance bands, weights and bodyweight, you improve stability, posture and performance. Suitable for all levels, with options provided.
Les Mills Tone™
A complete workout that offers the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training. The challenging combination of exercises and equipment helps elevate your heart rate and take your training to the next level.
Mindful Yoga
A calm and mindful yoga class focusing on breathing, gentle movements and recovery. The final part includes elements of meditation and mindfulness. Helps reduce stress, increase mobility and find inner balance.
Pilates
Pilates is an effective training method that focuses on strengthening muscles, improving flexibility and enhancing posture through controlled movements and mindful breathing.
Taekwondo Intermediate
A high-energy class for participants with basic knowledge. Focus on technique, combinations, sparring elements and conditioning, combining strength and flexibility.
Urban Dance
Urban Dance is an umbrella term for several modern dance styles that originate from street and hip-hop culture, primarily in urban environments. Styles include hip hop, popping, locking, house, krumping, waacking and more. Perfect for letting loose and having fun.
Yoga
Yoga is a form of training that unites body, mind and breath while promoting strength, flexibility and inner balance. Through different styles, you can explore movement, deepen body awareness and find balance in everyday life. Classes in Flow Yoga, Hatha Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga are suitable for all levels and include options and guidance. When booking, you will receive a detailed class description.

Discount for SSIF's other activities
As a university employee, you can buy an add-on to your free training card and get access to training evenings and weekends. You can choose between All-In or Studio: SSIF All-In for SEK 1 455 or Studio for SEK 849.
The ALL IN membership gives you access to both group training and sports every day and time of the week – the complete training card where you get a wide variety of training programmes to choose from. Sports available in ALL IN include volleyball, badminton, table tennis, bandy, football, pickleball and basketball. The Studio Card includes all group training.
