Collective agreement
A collective agreement is an agreement between an employer and a trade union organisation.
The collective agreement gives you as an employee a number of benefits in addition to what is laid down in the law and it guarantees that there is a good basis in your employment that the employer must relate to. For example, the agreement regulates pay, vacation, overtime pay, working hours and occupational pensions.
Central and local agreements
On the page Central and local agreements you will find information about general employment agreements at Stockholm University. The central agreements apply to most government employees in Sweden. The local agreements are signed by parties at the university in order to be able to adapt to the organisation.
Staff organisations
Stockholm University has collective agreements with Saco-S, OFR and SEKO. It is these staff organisations (PO) that the university is obliged to continuously inform and negotiate with.
