Training at SSIF in Frescatihallen Autumn 2026
Wellness, i.e. keep-fit activities. Employees at Stockholm University have access to, free of charge, participate at SSIF's group activities in Frescatihallen. Below you will find information on how to participate and the schedule for the autumn activities.
To participate in the various free exercise classes for university staff organised by SSIF at Frescatihallen, you need to register via the SSIF website at the following link: https://ssif.nu/trainingcards. The membership fee for 100 kr is at the top of the page. You must be a member of SSIF – read about the accident insurance of SEK 100 annually further down the page.
Once you have paid the membership fee and logged in, click on ‘subscriptions’ and enter the code ‘EMPLOYEE’ at the bottom. You can then add your membership card. Please note: In addition to the membership fee, you must actively add the SU staff training card (0 SEK) to ensure you are registered correctly. After registration, SSIF staff will check that you are on the list of employees and you will then be given login details so that you can register for the individual classes via the SSIF app. The same applies to PhD students who are not employed at the university (SSIF may request a certificate or confirmation from the department).
When you want to participate a free exercise class
Participation in all classes must be booked in advance, either via the SSIF's website or via the SSIF's app (from the App Store or Play Store). You also check in to the class via the app. The class must be cancelled no later than 3 hours before the class and is easily done via the website or app.

Activities during Autumn
The autumn activities (free of charge) start on Monday 17 August 2026 and run until Friday 8 January 2027. If there are any changes to the schedule during the semester, you will be able to see them directly in the app.
The schedule is temporary due to the vacation period.

Ballet
The beginner ballet class is for adults with no prior experience, teaching the basics of ballet and offering a feel for ballet dancing. The class starts with slow exercises and gradually increases in speed and complexity.
The class for all levels is a mix of beginners and those who have danced before.

BodyJam®
At BodyJam we dance to the latest hits. Simple house, Latin and hip-hop tunes are followed by two longer, more intense dance blocks that will get you moving. BodyJam is an energetic cardio workout for those who love to dance.

This workout makes it easy for you to get started with strength training and the effective exercises mean you'll see results quickly. Perfect for both men and women who want to work out their body in an hour.
Les Mills Core™
A 30-minute workout that focuses on strengthening the core. With resistance bands, weight plates, and bodyweight exercises, it targets the muscles around the core to improve stability, posture, and overall performance. The class is suitable for all fitness levels with options for everyone.
Les Mills Tone™
A complete 30-minute workout that gives you the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training. The challenging mix of lunges, squats, functional training and rubber band exercises will help you raise your heart rate and take your training to the next level.
Pickleball
A racket sport in which two or four players use rackets to hit a perforated plastic ball, similar to the one used in floorball, over an 86 cm high net, until one side fails to return the ball or commits a foul.
Pilates
Pilates is a low-impact exercise that strengthens the core, improves flexibility, and promotes body alignment through controlled movements and deep breathing. Choose comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of movement.
Urban Dance
Urban Dance is an umbrella term for a range of modern dance styles that have evolved from street and hip hop culture, mainly in urban settings. It includes various dance forms such as hip hop, popping, locking, house, krumping, waacking, etc.
Yoga
Yoga is a practice that unites the body, mind, and breath, promoting strength, flexibility, and inner peace. Through various styles, you can explore movement, deepen your awareness, and find balance in your life. The classes in Flow Yoga, Hatha Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga are suitable for all levels, with options and guidance throughout. When you book your class, you will receive a detailed description of the class.

With the SSIF Training Card membership, costing SEK 1,375, you get access to both group training and sports every day of the week at any time – the complete training card where you get a wide variety of training programmes to choose from.
