1 OCT. Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. The Wilson Center invites scholars, practitioners, journalists and public intellectuals to take part in its flagship international 9-month residential Fellowship Program and to take advantage of the opportunity to engage actively in the Center’s national mission. The Center accepts policy-relevant, non-advocacy fellowship proposals that address key challenges confronting the United States and the world.

Stanford Humanities Center External Faculty Fellowships support research in traditional and emergent disciplines of the humanities (including digital humanities) and the interpretive social sciences. Projects that are likely to contribute to intellectual exchange among a diverse group of scholars are especially appropriate.
3 OCT. La Caixa Foundation (ES) Postdoctoral junior leader fellowships support researchers of any nationality who wish to continue their research career in STEM at excellent universities and research centers in Spain or Portugal.
3 OCT. National Humanities Center (US) Fellowships. Scholars can apply for year- or semester-long fellowships.
11 OCT. Santa Fe Institute (US) Complexity Postdoctoral Fellowships. Research at SFI is collaborative and spans the physical, natural, and social sciences.
15 OCT. University of Passau Research-in-residence fellowships are visiting positions (2-6 months) enabling interdisciplinary cooperation and network development. Priority is given to the strategic guiding themes: Europe and Global Transformation; Migration, Sustainable Development and Just Order; and, Digitalisation, Networked Society and (Internet) Cultures.
15 OCT. Taiwan Foundation for Democracy International Visiting Fellowship for research and networking in the field of democracy and human rights, and encourage development of cooperative international projects.

The Smithsonian Institution (SI) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biodiversity Genomics promotes collaborative research in these fields involving comparative genomic approaches such as phylogenomics, population genomics, metagenomics or transcriptomics, and have a component that involves significant bioinformatics analysis.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (US) Postdoctoral Scholarships (18 months) are granted to recent doctorates in oceanography, chemistry, engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics, meteorology, physics, biology, economics, marine policy, and any field that may contribute to WHOI’s core mission.
18 OCT. The University Center for Human Values invites applications for Laurance S. Rockefeller Visiting Faculty Fellowships for the academic year 2025-26. This full-time, 1-year residential program is open to scholars in all disciplines across the humanities and social sciences. Fellows’ academic year at Princeton is devoted to research and writing about topics involving human values in public and private life.
18 OCT. European University Institute. Max Weber fellowships for early career scholars in political and social sciences, law, economics and history.
23 OCT. The British Academy Global Professorships as an opportunity for established overseas researchers to undertake high-risk, curiosity-driven research in the humanities and social sciences in a UK research institution.
24 OCT. Space Telescope Science Institute (US). The Exoplanet Science Fellowship provides three years of support at STScI for promising postdoctoral researchers working on innovative scientific studies in any area of exoplanet research. The research may be theoretical, observational, or instrumental.
25 OCT. European University Institute. Jean Monnet postdoctoral fellowships for postdoctoral researchers, tenure track academics and other scholars taking a sabbatical year as fellows at the Robert Schuman Centre in Florence.

1 NOV. The Women’s International Study Center (US) inspires and enables women to achieve their goals. WISC in-residence fellowships (typically one month long) support a broad range of subjects and genres.
1 NOV. The College for Life Sciences is a unique program with 3- to 5-month residency at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, Institute for Advanced Study, aiming to promote excellent early-career postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences and medicine.
1 NOV. Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (US). CASBS offers residential fellowships for scholars working in a diverse range of disciplines that contribute to advancing research and thinking in social science. Fellows represent the core social and behavioral sciences (anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, and sociology) but also the humanities, education, linguistics, communications, and the biological, natural, health, and computer sciences. For 2025-26, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies, National University of Singapore, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, and Stanford-Taiwan Social Science fellowships will be offered through CASBS.
3 NOV. The Wolf Humanities Center (US) awards Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships each academic year to junior scholars in the humanities who are no more than five years out of their doctorate. Preference will be given to candidates not yet in tenure track positions whose proposals are interdisciplinary, who have not previously enjoyed use of the resources of the University of Pennsylvania, and who would particularly benefit from and contribute to Penn's intellectual life. The programs of the Wolf Humanities Center are conceived through yearly topics that invite. In the 2025–2026 academic year, the topic for broad interdisciplinary collaboration will be Truth.
8 NOV. Fondation Fyssen International Scientific Prize is awarded to a scientist who has conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the foundation: Ethology, Psychology, Neurobiology, Anthropology, Ethnology, Human Paleontology and Archaeology.
20 NOV. Lundbeck Foundation Postdoc. Applicants from any research field are invited to submit proposals with potential short- or long-term benefits for the advancement of neuroscience and/or therapies for nervous system disorders. The term ‘neuroscience’ is used here in its broadest sense, including medical, technical, natural and social sciences, as well as humanities. However, if neither the applicant nor the host group has experience within neuroscience, collaboration with a neuroscience group is required.
22 NOV. The Mahindra Humanities Center. Postdoctoral fellowships in environmental humanities, e.g. humanistic approaches to climate change, biodiversity, social justice, environmental justice, food justice, regenerative practices, gardening, landscape, urban foraging, health, and animal studies.
29 NOV. Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF). Research institute doctoral student grants for employees of a research institute who want to obtain a PhD in science, medicine or technology. Two well-qualified people must supervise the doctoral student during the grant period, one at the university and one at the institute.
29 NOV. Paris Foundation for the Mathematical Sciences Research chair allows scientists in the disciplines of mathematics and computer science to be hosted in one or several laboratories affiliated to the foundation.
15 DEC. Gruber Foundation Cosmology Prize recognises scientific advances in the understanding of the universe and how it is perceived.
