GDPR and personal data in research: what to think of?
The Research Data Management Team organizes a webinar for researchers about managing personal data in research.
The webinar will deal with the main aspects of GDPR legislation as it applies to research. What should you do with personal data? What are you allowed to do? And what are you not allowed to do?
Some issues we will talk about are:
- What are personal data and sensitive personal data? (Hint: perhaps more than you think!)
- What legal basis do researchers have for gathering personal data?
- How can you protect research data with personal information? What options do you have for anonymizing and pseudonymizing research data?
- What do you need to think of when gathering personal data abroad?
- What options do you have for publishing or sharing research data with personal information?
Who: The webinar is intended for researchers and PhD students at Stockholm university and will be held in English.
When: April 17th, 13.00-14.00
