Guidelines for account name, profile picture and account description
It is important that our users recognize our presence in social media and that we as an authority clearly show who is the sender. Through the account name, profile picture and account description, it must be clear that Stockholm University runs the channel.
Account name
When you add Stockholm University or SU to your account name, you show your affiliation, increase searchability and help make Stockholm University's social media presence clear.
- In channels with sufficient space, Stockholm University or Stockholm University should be written after the name of the institution. For example: Department of XX at Stockholm University or XX, Stockholm University.
- In channels with limited space, create a short username that explains as clearly as possible which part of the university is the sender. It is recommended to add SU to both the username and the full name (for example on Twitter). Underscores or hyphens are used where spaces are not possible. Example username: Feken_SU. Example full name: Department of Business Administration SU.
- If you want to reach an international audience, remember to name the account with the English name of the organization. Then also write your posts in English. On LinkedIn, you can set your account name in several different languages.
Profile picture
For all social media channels, Stockholm University's logo must be used as the profile picture. SU's brand, the logo without the word image, should be used as the profile picture in social media if you print Stockholm University in the name of the channel. The profile picture is downloaded from Media bank.
Account description
The channels have different space to describe the sender and purpose of the account. Where possible, you should include:
- Which part of Stockholm University is the sender of the account
Link to the organization's website and, if available, to Stockholm University - Mention Stockholm University or Stockholm University

Images and cover photo
Images in social media must follow Stockholm University's visual language. The cover photo must be high-resolution and adapted to the respective platform's recommendation for dimensions.
