Teachers and academics at all CIVIS universities are invited to submit proposals within three areas:
- Joint Degree Programmes:
Develop programmes with joint governance and mobility, aligned with the future European Degree Label.
Maximum funding: €20,000. Application deadline: 14 November 2025. - Modular Short-Term Courses and Micro-Credentials:
Create short, stand-alone, and stackable courses or virtual exchanges (e.g. COIL) that address societal challenges.
Maximum funding: €20,000. Application deadline: 26 September 2025. - Stacking of Modular Learning Units:
Connect existing CIVIS learning activities into recognisable learning pathways.
Maximum funding: €10,000. Application deadline: 26 September 2025.
A total budget of €250,000 is available for these projects.
To be eligible, the project must involve at least three European CIVIS universities and have institutional support. External partners such as NGOs, municipalities, and employers are also welcome to participate.
From a Swedish perspective, micro-credentials are treated as academic credits (ECTS) according to SUHF's guidelines.
All educational initiatives that generate academic credits and are coordinated by Stockholm University must have an approved course syllabus. For a COIL, this could be part of an existing course syllabus, depending on the agreement with partners.
