Get your workplace ready for summer cleaning!
Between 1 July and 15 August, the university is carrying out a major clean of its premises. You can help ensure the cleaning is as efficient and thorough as possible by tidying up in advance.

In order for the cleaning company to carry out all the necessary operations, certain areas must be clear.
Before the cleaning, please do the following:
- Remove personal items from desks, chairs and windowsills.
- Move objects placed close to walls, radiators and ventilation units.
- Empty cupboards and shelves that are to be cleaned inside (such as wardrobes).
This is how the premises will be cleaned
The deep cleaning is more extensive than the regular weekly cleaning.
This includes:
- removal of stickers, tape and adhesive residues
- removal of stains on walls and doors
- vacuuming and damp mopping of floors
- cleaning of floor drains
- restocking of consumables
- replacement of toilet brushes if needed.
Surfaces wiped and cleaned:
- doors, handles, frames and light switches
- glass panels in doors and walls
- radiators (including behind), cable ducts, pipes and ventilation units
- furniture (desks, chairs, sofas, waste bins and upholstered furniture)
- fittings (notice boards, picture rails, windowsills, blinds, open shelves)
- kitchenettes (worktops, sinks, taps, tiles and surfaces around microwaves)
- toilets and changing rooms (sanitary ware, mirrors, exterior of cabinets, shower areas).
Fridges and microwaves are not cleaned
Cleaning of fridges and microwaves is not included in the regular deep cleaning.
If you want them to be cleaned, you need to order this separately via the Service Portal.

After the cleaning – report any issues
If anything has been missed or if you're not satisfied with the result, please report it in the Service Portal as soon as possible. This allows the university to follow up with the cleaning provider.
