Welcome Day
On 23 January, between 12:00 and 16:00, the Welcome Day for new students will take place in Studenthuset and the Stockholm University Library. All new students, both national and international, are warmly welcome. The aim is to give new students a rewarding afternoon with fika, new encounters, and tips for a good start here.
Programme
Welcome Fair with fika (12:00-16:00)
Meet the representatives of the support units at the university like the Academic Writing Service, the Student Health Services and IT-Services. At the fair, you also meet the different student unions and associations. Coffee and sweets will be served.
Speed friending (12:00-16:00)
Mingle and get to know other new students, both national and international, in a fun way. You might even bump into some of your future classmates!
Mini lectures
- 13:30-14:00: Studying effectively - practical tips
Stockholm University Library
Come to the library and take a quiz to learn how to find your way around the book shelves. You’ll also have the chance to meet the librarians, pick up a bookmark, and take part in the information session.
Student pubs (16:00-)
At the end of the day, you can visit the various student pubs around campus. Visit the pubs and get to know the Stockholm University Student Union (SUS), the associations, and other students!
