The Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to present this year’s Myrdal Lecturer, Professor Marianne Bertrand of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Drawing on insights from economics and psychology, her talk — titled “Gender, Stereotypes and Inequality” — will explore how gender stereotypes and societal beliefs continue to shape economic and social outcomes, influencing everything from women’s educational and career choices to labor market participation, inequality, and economic development.
