Stockholm University Young Faculty
Stockholm University Young Faculty (SU-YF) represents over 500 early-career researchers at the Faculty of Science, including postdocs, researchers, assistant professors, and others who hold a PhD but do not yet have a permanent position.
Stockholm University Young Faculty
We aim to serve as a connection point for this large, yet diverse group of university employees, working to promote our shared interests. We do this by representating early-career researchers on boards at various levels, by organising and promoting targeted activities, and by collaborating with similar organisations across Sweden. Our activities typically focus on career advice, funding opportunities, information regarding academia in Sweden, work-life balance, equity, and social events.
We advocate for the development of structures that provide career support for diverse career paths, both within and beyond academia. Similar organisations exist at other universities in Sweden, and we collaborate with them through the National Junior Faculty (NJF) umbrella organization. Our goal is to help build a strong, supportive community that benefits from the exchange of knowledge, culture, and experience, working closely with other Young, Junior and Future faculty groups within Sweden through NJF.
