Work environment

The Office of Human Science has a group for work environment and equal opportunities that aims to strengthen health and safety work and provide support to the Head of Department.

The group consists of the work environment representatives, the equality representative, and the Head of the Office, who meet regularly throughout the year. If necessary, the group can elect additional persons.

The mission of the work environment group:

  • To discuss and prepare current health and safety issues and, if necessary, propose measures to improve the working environment.
  • To promote everyone's participation in the work environment, for example by providing relevant information on current work environment issues.
  • Ensuring that the office has relevant and functional work environment procedures and action plans.
  • To annually follow up and revise the office's work environment action plan.

Fire safety

Stockholm University has gathered information about the university's fire protection and tips for your safety.

Each department, division or unit at Stockholm University must have its own fire protection organisation.

The following persons are responsible for fire safety and evacuation at the Office of Human Science:

Equality and equal treatment

Stockholm University has zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and offensive differential treatment.

The overall goal is that all employees at the The Office of Human Science should be treated with respect regardless of

The working environment group also works with gender equality and equal treatment. It develops and, if necessary, revises an equality and equal treatment plan for the Office. The plan contains measures and procedures for discrimination, harassment and offensive differential treatment.

Environment

The environmental work of the Office of Human Science is coordinated by the Office's environmental representatives. The environmental representatives are responsible for:

  • Coordinating and leading the operational environmental work within the Office.
  • informing staff about news and changes and how to improve the environmental performance.
  • Compiling the annual report on the environmental work of the office.
  • Planning and preparing documentation for internal and external environmental auditors.
  • Supporting the Head of the Office in the environmental work and reporting to the Head of the Office on the progress of operational environmental work.
  • Co-operating with other environmental representatives and the Human Science area environmental coordinator.

Guidelines on working time

There are some guidelines for the application of working time rules at the Office of Human Science.
