Advisory Bodies of Social Sciences
The Faculty Board of Social Sciences has established committees to address specific issues. Here you can find more information about them, including the members and the secretary.
Working Group on Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education (SAGA)
The Working Group on Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education is responsible for the following:
- Serving as a reference group to the Faculty Board of Social Sciences on matters related to undergraduate and graduate education.
- Monitoring and overseeing the overall quality, efficiency, and organization of the faculty's first- and second-cycle programs.
- Receiving and preparing departments' reports following program reviews within the framework of SU's quality system for education.
- Additionally, the group works to promote quality work in education within the departments.

Working Group on Postgraduate Education
The Working Group for Doctoral Education has the following responsibilities:
- Act as an advisory group to the Faculty Board of Social Sciences regarding doctoral education matters.
- Take overall responsibility for interdepartmental doctoral programs.
- Receive and prepare departmental reports following program reviews within the framework of SU's quality system for education.
- Nominate prize winners for the Swedish Association of Higher Education's prize for the best thesis of the year after consultation with the group, as delegated by the chair of the group.
- Allocate donation scholarships.

Budget Committee
The Budget Committee serves as an advisory body to the Faculty Board of Social Sciences on financial matters. The Committee is responsible for preparing the Faculty's annual budget decisions.

The Board of Docentship
The Social Sciences Board of Docentship is responsible for preparing the Faculty's appointment of docents.

The Gender Equality Group
The Gender Equality Group aims to promote and support equality and gender balance within the departments among both staff and students. It provides a platform for sharing experiences and showcasing best practices.

Myrdal Committee
Gunnar Myrdal is one of the Faculty's foremost researchers of all time. He is internationally recognised and has a distinctly interdisciplinary interest. Gunnar was also an important social commentator, which fits well with the faculty's ambition to be an actor in time, and in society. To honour his name and reputation and to inspire today's researchers to work in his spirit, each year the Faculty asks a researcher at or outside the Faculty to give an open lecture on a current issue in the spirit of Gunnar Myrdal.
