Transition to Sitevision: current information
The transition to Sitevision involves some changes to how you edit your profile page. Here you can read about the differences and the further development that is underway.
Profile pages – support with editing
Responsible web editors can assist with editing profile pages for other members of staff within their own department.
Profile pages – sync with Sukat
At present, there are some issues with synchronisation between Sukat and the profile pages. This means that profile pages are currently not being updated with data from Sukat.
Profile pages are also not being created for newly employed staff until this issue has been resolved. This is now being handled gradually and during January.
Profile pages – publish despite link errors
You can publish your profile page even if there is a message indicating a link error under the heading Quality control. When publishing, click “Continue despite link errors”.
Link errors may be caused, for example, by:
- an image that was previously on the page not having been migrated, leaving an empty image module in that location
- a link to a page that requires a login or to a DOI link
- a link error related to Facebook in the footer (this will be resolved)
Profile pages – Publications, Research projects and Research groups
To display the headings Publications and Research projects, you need to change the setting in Properties > Metadata > Personal page from No to Yes.
- Publications: the searchable list from DiVA currently displays publications in alphabetical order. It will be displayed in chronological order, with the most recent publication date first. At a later stage, we will look into restoring the functionality that existed in Polopoly, allowing you to choose which publications are displayed.
- Research projects and Research groups: work is ongoing to display these, with research projects shown under the heading Research projects and research groups in the right-hand column.
Profile pages – images
Images have not been migrated to the profile pages, but an image module is in place where each image should be. You need to upload the missing image via the empty image module and then click OK.
Profile pages – files
Files that were uploaded to profile pages have been included in the migration and are available as files on the page. However, you must link to them manually. This is done via Properties > Metadata > Personal page.
Profile pages – Swedish and English
Please note that any information added to the right-hand column, as well as the settings for publications and projects, must be configured on both the Swedish and English versions of the pages.
