Checklist – employee or student experiencing a more serious personal crisis
What is important to do if an employee or student faces a more serious personal crisis?
If a student or employee suffers an acute crisis and is unable to take care of themselves or is talking about suicide, contact Stockholm County's emergency care centres or the emergency care centre at St. Göran's Hospital, phone 08-123 492 00.
Student
If the crisis concerns a student, you as a manager can also contact Stockholm Student Health Services directly for counselling if you have strong concerns about the student, whether the crisis concerns the study situation or life outside the university.
Employee
Contact the occupational health care services, Avonova, on 08-120 125 00 or the Human Resources Office for advice.
The reasons for personal crises vary, of course. What they all have in common is that the person affected often needs some form of support to deal with the cause of their crisis reaction. In this case, the employee or line manager can contact the Human Resources Office for further referral.
